Inspired by Mary Jane Veloso, we unite research, policy, and community action to advance justice across borders.
WHO WE ARE
The Veloso Justice Center (VJC) is a grassroots research and policy collective dedicated to advancing justice for migrant workers and marginalized communities.
Grounded in survivor-centered and anti-colonial values, we focus on legal empowerment, policy intervention, and international solidarity.
Named in honor of Filipina domestic worker Mary Jane Veloso, VJC envisions a world where no migrant worker is invisible. We aim to expose systems that exploit and uplift the voices of the marginalized.

OUR FOCUS AREAS
Legal Research and Policy Advocacy
We create accessible legal briefs, policy memos, and justice reports that highlight structural violence. Topics include labor trafficking, passport confiscation, contract substitution, and legal barriers to justice.
Community Outreach and Education
We host events, lead campaigns, and collaborate with local groups to raise awareness.
Regional and Country Reports
We publish in-depth reports that explore labor conditions. These are informed by legal research, media analysis, and survivor perspectives.
Digital Justice Tools
We produce infographics, policy explainers, and legal self-help packets.
